Mesa Jr High Student Participants

The 2008-10 Cohorts of students are engaged in the program at Mesa Jr High School. These seventh grade students who are in participant year-1 of the program, meet twice a week, at the Mesa Jr High Media Center, on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:40 pm to 5:20 pm.

Gerardo Bio I have always liked electronics and I like to build things. In the afterschool meetings, I enjoy programming the robots. ManuelBio I like working with computers and building. I like building the NXT robot and being with my friends in the afterschool meetings. CarlosBio I like to build robots and use the computer. I also like taking stuff apart. I'm a good person and fun to be around. ReneBio I like building and working with the robot. I also like using the computer. I am Mexican/American and I like laughing. DominikBio I like going to the afterschool program to meet new friends. I like the snacks and building robots so they will work. I like to play football. BrandonBio I have always been interested in robots and computers. I also like to play Xbox, ride my skateboard and animating — making short videos. EdwinBio I joined the afterschool program because I thought it would be fun to build a robot. I like to play football and play the PSP. LyndseyBio I joined the afterschool program because my family told me I needed to try something new and this was it. I enjoy being with friends, shopping, reading and I love to talk!

AlfonsoBio I am interested in the afterschool program because I like to program and build the robot. I like to use the computer. I also like spaghetti! GuadalupeBio I was first interested in the program because I wanted experience in doing something fun, educational and new. It will help my future. I like building the robot and I like to talk, read books, write and hear music. I'm smart, pretty, creative and love school. DianaBio I joined the program because I wanted to build something with legos. I like to do all kinds of sports and I love making people laugh! I've been told I am very funny. VanessaBio I was first interested in joining the afterschool program because we learn a lot there. I enjoy being with others and learning about different things. I also like to hang out with my friends. I'm smart and I like to stand out and I don't care what people say cause it's me. ManuelBio I joined the afterschool program because I thought it would be cool and I could build the NXT robot. I like to play baseball and be with my friends. I am also fun to be with. SamuelBio I chose to join the program because I got interested in Aeronautics in 6th grade. I enjoy building the Mindstorms robot and learning new things everyday. I also like to read and play and I am interested in stuff.

MaribelBio I joined this program because I wanted to interact with other people in groups and I like to use the computer to make things. I like to go on fieldtrips and make different projects.
